Maniac on Netflix: plot

Maniac, the new TV series featuring the Oscar-winning Emma Emma and Jonah Hill, will be released on Netflix on 21 September. The series, created by Patrick Somerville, will consist of 10 episodes directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, director of the first season of True Detective, proof that he was awarded the Emmy Award. Set in some world similar to ours, in a time quite similar to our time - reads the official synopsis of the series - Maniac tells the stories of Annie Landsberg (Emma Stone) and Owen Milgrim (Jonah Hill), two unknown traits in the stages deep of a mysterious medical path, undertaken by everyone for several reasons.

Maniac on Netflix: advances

Emma and Johan will play two mentally ill people entering the testing phase of a pharmaceutical company that promises to fix them, even if things don't go as planned. Annie, the character of Stone, is anaffective and aimless in life except to cure her obsession with her mother and sister. Owen, on the other hand, is the son of a family of wealthy industrialists who has always fought with the problem of schizophrenia . To help them change their lives forever, who knows at what price, is Dr. James K. Mantleray, played by Justin Theroux. Will he be able to improve them or is there something shady underneath?
